Rent vs. Buy in the Phoenix 2019 Market

With the median residential lease rent being $1450 vs. a $280K median list price ($262K median sales price for 2018), it’s costing you $400 more per month on average to own, rather than to rent – and that doesn’t count all the other fees: maintenance, HOA, etc.
My advise until the market cools off: renting may be better than buying for now, as you can get more home for your dollar and not have to worry about maintenance.
